Have you completed the CERT Basic Training course? Join the Greene County CERT Team!

After completing the CERT basic training series, participants will have the opportunity to apply to become an official CERT volunteer with the Office of Emergency Management. As a registered member, your name will be added to a pool of core volunteers the OEM may call upon for assistance in a variety of roles during disasters (ice storms, tornadoes, floods, etc.) or pre-planned events (fairs, parades, concerts, etc.). You will also be eligible for enhanced training in a variety of disaster preparedness and response courses we offer only to authorized volunteers.

Please follow these steps to register:

1. Review the CERT Standard Operating Guideline and Code of Conduct
2. Print application and volunteer waiver
3. Sign the volunteer waiver and complete the volunteer application form and submit to a background check
4. Scan and email the completed and signed application and waiver to the CERT Director. If sending by mail, please send the application to:
